Show introductory dialogue

Displays the Welcome to XMLwriter! introductory dialogue box on startup.

Reload last project at startup

Reloads the last project you had open. The Show introductory dialogue preference must be disabled for this preference to be available.

Reload documents when opening project

Opens all of the documents you had open when you last worked on the project.

Automatically save project changes

Automatically saves any changes you make to the structure of a project, for example, renaming folders/files, or rearranging folders/files.

Ask for confirmation when deleting files

Asks for confirmation when deleting files.

Recycle preview windows

Previews documents in the same internal browser preview window. When disabled, multiple preview windows are created.

Check for externally modified files

Checks for external modifications of open files. If a modification is detected, a message appears notifying you of the file that has been modified and gives you the choice of reloading the modified file.

Automatically reload externally modified files

Automatically reloads externally modified files. The external file must be saved in the external application before it will be automatically reloaded. The Check for externally modified files option must be enabled for this option to be available.

Show tabs for open documents

Displays tabs at the bottom of the main window for each open document window.

Run only one instance at a time

Opens files from Explorer into one instance of XMLwriter.

Show splash screen

Displays the XMLwriter splash screen on startup.

Reset All Options to Defaults

Restores all of the preferences to their original settings.
